7 Days Double Gorilla Trek And Game Viewing Experience

One of the world’s remarkable wildlife encounter is tracking the rare mountain gorillas in the remote forests of south western Uganda.
This safari will expose you to the rare and the EastAfrican endemic species, the mountain gorillas which can only be best and favorably sighted in only Uganda in the whole world. Most tourist take the sighting of these endangered species an adventure of a lifetime and a memorable experience in Uganda’s thick impenetrable forest of Bwindi.     Day 2: KAMPALA -QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

    Stop At: Uganda Equator, Masaka Road, Kayabwe Uganda
    After an early morning breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and embark on your journey to the countryside along Kampala-Masaka road.
    A stop at the Uganda equator is inevitable, this is where you will get a chance to stand on the northern and southern hemispheres and at 0 degrees which is the center of the universe!
    Proceed to your next destination which is Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival in the evening, a warm welcome of herds of elephants and buffaloes as you drive to the lodge for an overnight stay and relaxation

    Day 3: GAME VIEWING AND BOAT LAUNCH

    Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Western Region
    Early in the morning, you will start the day with a cruise through the savanna plains of Queen Elizabeth National park, a game drive always rewarding a memorable experience. Queen Elizabeth National Park is an idyllic habitat location for various species of wildlife, offering diverse ecosystems, including savannah, humid forests and sparkling lakes. Similar to most areas in Uganda, wildlife in the park decreased significantly during the civil war. However, over the years, the numbers have been replenished and continue to rise. The park is currently home to over 95 species of mammal including buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards and ten primate species including the chimpanzee. And, for those who wish to see all their hippos in one, tidy place, the parks boasts one of the highest concentrations of hippos in the entire world! It is also worth visiting for the birding alone. With over 600 species of birds, the largest in any protected area in East Africa, it is sure to offer an unforgettable experience to bird watchers.
    After Lunch, a boat launch awaits you along the Kazinga channel of the Nile, which flows from its headwaters in Lake Victoria and joins the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt. Spending hours sailing as you watch hippopotamus grant and submerge, crocodiles basking along the banks, elephants take litters of water as they shower to cool their temperatures, flocks of different water birds at the shores.
    Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay

    Day 4: QUEEN ELIZABETH NP -BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NP

    Early in the morning, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on your drive to your next adventure destination.
    A short game drive as you drive out of the park gives a last experience of this medley of wonder, as you enjoy views of the eye catching landscape dotted with crater lakes and the Kyambura gorge in the backdrop proves the tectonic activities millions of years ago. Enjoy the rolling hills on your highway drive to Bwindi as you come across different communities and ranches of long horned cattle

    Day 5: GORILLA TRACKING 1

    Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Western Region
    After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing on the Gorilla tracking activities from a skilled ranger guide who will let you know the Do's and Don't and what to expect while conducting the activity deep in the jungle
    For most people this is the absolute highlight of their tour in Uganda. The gorillas you track are habituated and can tolerate the presence of human for a brief period of time every day. Once the gorillas have been located, our group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is truly an adventure of a lifetime.
    After refreshment at the lodge, a village walk awaits you in the evening, overlooking the imposing hillside of bwindi forest with the mist swirling over the summits; this is one of the most dramatic settings for your cultural tour!

    Day 6: GORILLA TRACKING 2

    Trust me, your second trek will out manage the first one. Watching these primates is always fun, behaving in a more interesting way depending on the weather. Watch them play, feed as the silver-back bangs his chest to prove and show their happiness and prove their dominance. Its always fun!

    Day 7: BWINDI-KAMPALA

    Stop At: Mpigi, Mpigi, Central Region
    We start the long but rewarding drive back to Kampala. On our way we will pass Mpigi village, famous for the Royal Drums Makers and of course the Ugandan Equator, where you can take pictures and shop for a souvenir. With lunch on our way we will reach Kampala at the end of the day.
    Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa or transferred to you hotel according to your flight arrangements.
