  • Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha

    Stop At: Arusha, Arusha, Arusha Region
    Whatever your arrival time at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Bush 2 City Adventure driver-guide will be waiting for you with a warm welcoming smile. Kick back and relax in your comfortable vehicle as he takes you to your hotel in Arusha, Tanzania’s self-styled ‘safari capital.’ On your journey to the hotel, you will get a brief impression of this large, bustling, commercial city. Depending on your arrival time, you may have your pre-safari briefing today; if not, it will take place early tomorrow morning.

    Stop At: Arusha Villa Karamu Coffee Estate, Arusha, Usa River, Tanzania
    Beautifully situated in the middle of a coffee plantation. Monkeys swing through the giant trees. A short distance from the city and nature parks. Many activities are possible from the villa. Safe, luxurious, and with spacious double and family rooms.

    Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

    Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
    Travel to Tarangire National Park, where you embark on an afternoon game drive in search of eland, oryx, wildebeests, zebras, and a sizable elephant population that call the park’s diverse swamps, open grasslands, and acacia-dotted parkland home. The Tarangire River runs through the landscape, quenching wildlife with a year-round supply of water. And with over 300 species of birds, including pelican, storks, and of course, lesser pink flamingos, the birdlife is abundant and colorful.

    Stop At: Tarangire Simba Lodge, Babati, Tanzania
    Tarangire Simba Lodge is situated in a wildlife-rich area with unhampered views to beautiful Lake Burunge, bordered by the park and a Wildlife Management Area. The setting is stunning; with a giant old Baobab tree anchoring one corner and a permeating feeling of real Africa.

    Resident wildlife includes lion, zebra, bushbuck, impala, porcupine, monkeys, warthog, mongoose, and more. Elephant, buffalo, ostrich, and giraffe frequently pass through while the birdlife is prolific and vibrant.

    Day 3: Tarangire - Lake Ndutu

    Stop At: Ndutu Lake, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
    After breakfast, you will drive to the Lake Ndutu area, a vast endless plain whose sparse vegetation allows for some of the best wildlife viewings in the world. The annual migration of wildebeest and zebra is one of the park’s great attractions, but from January to March Ndutu is where the action is, Zebra and wildebeest newborns are everywhere, excellent predator actions as they tack weak wildebeest, here you will find an abundance of cats such as lion, leopard, and cheetah, along with elephant, giraffe, hyena, hippo, rhino, and many varieties of antelopes and birds.

    This beautifully designed tented lodge is situated in Ndutu in the southeastern Serengeti plains within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a prime location for game drives and an ideal stopover to the neighboring Serengeti National Park. The lodge has 20 well-appointed sleeping tents with a combination of Family Suites and individual Guest Tents offering a top-notch true African safari experience.

    Day 4: Lake Ndutu

    Stop At: Ndutu Lake, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
    Once again you will be able to experience game drives in the morning and the afternoon. Both drives will give you great wildlife viewing opportunities. You will see large herds of local grazing animals going by, and also have a good chance of seeing some of the big cats. January and March is the perfect time to witness the Great Migration when huge herds of Thomson’s gazelles, wildebeest, and zebras return to the Lake Ndutu area as they give birth to their young. It is an unforgettable experience that is not to be missed. After all these adventures, you will be more than ready for a mid-day nap, a dip in the pool, or laze on the veranda to escape the heat of the day.

    Day 5: Lake Ndutu - Serengeti National Park

    Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
    After breakfast, you will proceed to the vast Serengeti in search of Cheetahs, lions, and leopards in pursuit of prey. Take an optional hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti plains (at an additional cost of $550 per person), viewing wildlife hippos, wildebeest, and Thompson’s gazelle from above. The Serengeti houses abundant life beyond its mammal population, including over 500 species of birds. Watch, too, for eagles, known to glide effortlessly over the Lobo Hills and sun-scorched landscape; lightning-fast cheetahs, who prowl the southeastern plains; and untold plains-grazers, who become unwitting prey. During downtime, pore over a good book in your room or absorb the warm, golden glow of the African sunset.

    Day 6: Serengeti National Park

    Day 7: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

    Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
    Today you shall pack a picnic lunch and spend the day within the crater. There are around 30,000 large animals within the crater, so you are bound to see lots of wildlife: large herds of wildebeest, antelope, and zebras roam the landscape, often being pursued by hyenas, cheetahs, or lions. The lake inside the crater is home to numerous colorful bird species, and you can see hippos lounging in the water. Every so often, visitors see impressive bull elephants passing through the crater area in search of water, though herds with cows and calves are rare.

    Karatu Simba Lodge where you’ll experience the peace and quiet of the Tanzanian countryside. Karatu Simba Lodge is located about a thirty-minute drive from the gate of Lake Manyara National Park, approximately four kilometers off the main road to the entry of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Situated deep in the farming area of the Karatu district and nestled right alongside the Ngorongoro Forest—home to elephant, buffalo, hyena, and other wildlife—Karatu Simba Lodge offers fine hospitality for safari travelers.

    Day 8: End of Tour

    A day that seemed a long way off just a few short days ago has come much too soon. Business, work, and home await and it is time to return to that other world and bid your travel companions goodbye. After you enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your resort, you will be transferred to Arusha. Later you transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will connect with your outbound flight home, carrying a lifetime of memories from your African tour back with you.
